  1. I've heard a lot of opinions on this topic and wanted to gain some from you guys. I have a 29 gallon reef tank which I just started and a 150 W MH with I believe 5500 K, it looks brite, with little to no blue tint and 2, 14 W T5 Actinics. The tank is 20" deep and has a combo of soft and hard frags. I'm gonna buy a new bulb in a few weeks and wanted to hear what has worked for you guys.

  2. i accidentally ended up with two of these. This one works great and comes with original box and all equiptment. Works great at controling algae bloom. I placed the other in a freshwater set up with a red ear slider and fish and it cleared the tank up in 3 days. I paid $80 for this one. They retail for about $120 new.

I just started a 29 gallon saltwater reef set up and i could use just about anything. At this point I need the following:

    powerhead

    lighting

    skimmer

    sand

    rock

    sump/refugium

    water test kit

    power strips

let me know what you have. if its worth more I will cover the difference and come to you.

    thanks

  3. Hey guys thanks for all helpful info regarding my previous post. I am faced with a small dilemma now though. I want to begin a reef aquarium and have located a few deals here and on CL for both Biocube's and standard aquariums. I like the look and convenience of the biocube, but am Im thinking i may need to upgrade lighting and the skimmer possibly other items as well. if this is where im headed then would it be a better idea to just purchase a decent 29 gallon standard aquarium and add equipment that wont constrict my reef goals?
