  1. What dimensions is your 29 gallon? I have a metal stand for sale that will hold up to a 29 gallon in size but it depends on your manufacturer.
  2. Nova Extreme T5 setup is SOLD. Still have: 55 gallon tank 55 gallon stand Sump and Pump
  3. I'll sell the Nova Extreme T5's for $100.
  4. My QT is a 15 gallon "Eclipse I". It's easy to use, has a florescent light (put a 20k bulb in it) and built in Bio-Wheel, Activated Carbon and Filter material...Works fine, lasts a long time..... I even have a stand "for sale" that it would fit on! (Shameless Plug...)
  5. $295 for the entire setup! $50 for the stand.
  6. James, Good idea. Whatever you guys and gals think! I'm not sure what I'd say about anything since I only know enough to be dangerous! However, perhaps we can get Brian and John from Kingfish to assist with the August Meeting? I'm cool with that. We'd have to start at about noon since I usually have to be at the restaurant at about 3 pm.
  7. Here is a link to Google Maps if anyone is interested. Please let me know. RenMan303 Home
  8. I wondered if anyone would be interested in seeing my new 225 gallon setup on July 26th just prior to the July mtg at Lee's (Soonerfan) home? I thought since Lee's meeting was at 2pm, I'd let anyone in the area to stop by from 1pm-2pm. I have to work in the afternoon but thought since I'm only about 3 miles South of Lee's home, if might be a cool double wammy? It's not "stocked" to the gill's yet (all pun intended) but it's a cool custom made, external overflow setup with a 120 gallon sump plumbed through the wall and into the garage. Thoughts? Bueller? Anyone? If anyone is interested, post it, and I'll put a link to Google Maps up.
  9. Deanna, Welcome to the club! I started my first setup with a 55 gallon (now being sold in the For Sale Area) before moving up to a 225 gallon. I'd say that a 79-90 gallon is a great starter. Go more for the width of the tank as it's easier to arrange items and clean the glass as well. Don't skimp on a protein skimmer! This IS your engine! You can get a nice MH/T5 combo light setup like Outer Orbit that will suit your needs or you can by a T5 setup and hang MH lighting should you choose to do so later. My QT tank is only a 15 gallon Eclipse 1. You only need a tank big enough to observe your new purchases to ensure their health or to treat a sick fish. My QT only has a few hunks of live rock and some sand. "Headless_donkey" makes a great point however, about not using sand and setting up your main tank first. Best of Luck and ask LOTS of questions.
  10. I'll even swap for some frags, fish, shrimp. My "Wish List" is under Stocking a Reef Safe Tank
  11. I have a 5 tier "Metro Rack" on casters. It is 6' long and each shelf is 24" wide. It is on casters. One rack has a broken weld on one of the corners. Easy to fix if you're good with a welder or you can wire it up like I did. Shelves hold over 300 lbs apiece. Great for a garage setup! I'll take $100 for it.
  12. There is also my place, "Nonna's" a Mediterranean Fusion restaurant in Georgetown. You can read about us on our web site at www.nonnas.net or on Austin360.com under Dale Rice's Table Reviews or on Yahoo. Look up "Nonna's Cucina". What Makes Us Unique? -Amuse Bouche -BYOB establishment with small $3/person setup -EVERYTHING made from scratch. -French Press Coffee. -Reservation seating, no waiting. 863-3442 -No silly after-dinner mints...handmade cookies, pralines or chocolate covered fruit instead.
  13. The picture that is posted here is a good representation of it's actually size.
  14. I have a Wrought Iron Stand in black that I wish to sell. $30. Demensions are: 31"Tall x 10.5"Wide x 20.5" Long It also has a lower shelf that can accommodate a sump that is 10"x20" in size.
  15. I have a basic 55 gallon setup for sale. Tank is 48"x14"x20". No Canopy. Setup consists of: -55 gallon tank (black rim). -Black Stand. -Sump: Pro Clear Aquatic 125 Wet/Dry. -Rio 2100 pump. -Overflow box with "J" tube. -Nova Extreme 48" T5 Lighting 4x54w (216w). 2-10k bulbs and 2-Actinic (3 months old) included.
  16. I have a "Marine Beta" that I would like to trade for Shrimp, another fish, coral.... It is listed as "Semi Aggressive". But, would probably do well with a "Like" tank. It is about 4" long. They go for $80 on Live Aquaria. I would take $50. Here is a link: Marine Beta
  17. My 225 is up and running as of Tuesday 1 July. Brian and John of KINGFISH were gracious enough to come up and help me set it all up. ALL of the equipment is located in the garage. We plumbed everything through the dining room wall. The sump is great! The thick walls of the "feeder" that was used as the sump actually keep the temperature in check. This with the custom made glass top that can be lifted out in two pieces not only keeps the dirt and dust out but also helps insulate the sump. I'm running 2 Eheim pumps...one that feeds back into the tank and one that feeds the Deltec 851 then into the 1/3 hp chiller before returning to the tank. One return is near the external overflow and one is at the opposite end of the tank with a Tunze Stream. Near the overflow in the tank is a Tunze Wavebox. The tank is Starfire on the front side as well as the right side for viewing. Still need to hook up the Phos Ban reactors and awaiting pigtails to hook up the MH to the Sun System ballasts. Should be this week. I am in need of some frags if anyone needs to part with any. I'd be happy to pay. This tank is fairly empty. Only a Scooter Bleaney, Sailfin Tang and Oscelaris Clown with some softies. May have to ask "Starfire" to come get some pics for me so people know what I have. The Iphone is great but not so for pics... Anyone have any suggestions for fish/shrimp that I should add? I'm clueless here.....
