  1. Never heard of it? I believe most salts are mfg'd by just a few companies. I'm willing to bet that since they all say, "No phosphates no nitrates"...that any of the majors is fine. I've used many and now stick with "Coralife". Why? I don't know?....works great, not too expensive.

What I'd like to know is, "What do most of the Worlds aquariums, e.g.: Seaworld, Moody Gardens, whatever, use? That would be interesting!

  2. Andrew, :)

Could you give us a synopsis on what Vodka Dosing is and how it works? How much to you put in the tank?

    Shaken or Stirred??? J/K.

Seriously, it sounds interesting but some guidelines might let us know if you find it worth it? You have some cool/wild stuff you try like encapsulating Brine Shrimp in Bleach!!!!

  3. I have a HUGE Xenia on a piece of LR. If it appears that it is going to start to attach to another rock, gently pull it away and turn the rock a bit or adjust the water flow. I love the look of them. I removed about 20 Xenia today from my tank that were offshoots and put them in my Fuge/Sump. I'll sell them for $5/each to anyone that wants one. I do the same with Devil's Hand Finger Leathers.

  4. Thanks everyone for your kind words and suggestions. Please feel free to post then on Gina's YouTube and her Facebook page so that she see your comments. That would really lift her up!

Laura, you should come over and play her set sometime!

  5. That's the next thing we are working on is to have an "audition" or demonstration video done on her kit. I'd like to get her on the Ellen Show or something like that. She already plays in two bands at Celebration Church here in Gtown. Sometimes in front of 2000 people per service as she did during Easter.

Feel free to send your friends to her YouTube video to comment as well.

  6. I'm really trying to promote my daughter, Gina. She is one of the most talented drummers you will ever hear...and, only 9 years old...and, self taught! I have a YouTube of her but we are trying to get her some attention as well. If anyone is interested she has a fan page.

  7. I have a 44" round "Rust Color and Cream" Marble table, pedestal style for sale. It originally came from the Four Seasons Hotel. I have two of them and want to part with one. It is beautiful. It is in need of a nice buffing but that is all. Seats a comfortable 4 or a cozy 5 people.

I'm asking $500....It was originally $1500 ten years ago. I just saw some of similar type while out of town and they were $2500-$4000!

  8. It would be really cool to see if some of the stores would "Sponsor" a meeting and allow us to do a giveaway at the meetings. Even a gift card could be cool!

I'd like to put it out there to see if River City, Aquatek, Kingfish and others might be interested?

  9. You either use, "Plastic Tank Dividers" (Pet's Mart or any pet store) or go to Hobby Lobby (cheap!) And buy 8 1/4" x 11" nylon knitting sheets. It's actually called "Clear Plastic Canvas". Same thing, less expensive $2.99 for 2 sheets! I have both.

  10. Hello fellow ARC's. Robin and I need your help.

We would like to contiunet the monthly meeting. So if you would like to host a meeting please let us know! Mike did such a great job with this and if we could fill one of his shoes we would consider ourselves sucessful. So lets continue the meetings.

    Dave & Robin

Put me down to host a meeting. Contact me for date/time.

  11. This is very interesting, i have done some research but id like to see one in action. how long does it take to build up the turf algae makes me wonder if a fuge or scrubber is better.. i dont think i would eliminate my skimmer, but sounds like its a plus if you did you get more food for the tank that the skimmer skims out.

Building the turf can take 2-3 months. On the plus side, free food for the Tangs! I would have a Fuge and Turf Scrubber...ahhh, acutually I do?! I promise, I'll post some pics by tonight.
