Spent past couple of days redoing the plumbing. Tank is so much more quiet. I switch out the impeller of my. Reeflo to the snapper from the dart impeller.
Got a midis Benny from my brother today and also moved some coral into the new tank.
Started up the skimmer, reactors, and chiller today all that
I have left to do it hook up the UV Sterilizer.
I'm already getting the brown algae. Will post pics soon

RCA just got some yellow tangs
-
My skimmer is silent it's just the return pump and bio pellet reactor I'm going to redo my return plumbing and see if that helps with sound for return and I was thinking of putting foam on the bottom of my stand and a piece in the sump to make it more quiet

FIXED THE OVERFLOW!!!
Spent half of today redoing my overflow pipes, I removed the old ones and replaced them with DIY Durso (Thanks Jeremy for the idea to cut them so I can fit it in my tank) Previously the Durso would not fit after talking to Jeremy I tried what he said and cut up the PVC to make the parts closer together and it worked. Now my tank is a lot more quieter unless I turn my Reeflo up all the way then its a waterfall. Now to figure out how to get my Reeflo more quiet.
I added my JNS Bio Pellet reactor last night. and put my skimmer, heater, and Eshopp Probe Holder in the sump.
Here some more pics

I like the apex controlling my Tunze's and yes I believe we have the same bio pellet reactor
My overflow makes some noise I had to turn down my return pump. Return pump is a little noise but its new so going to let it run for week or so to see if it gets quieter

lookin good tim. home stretch.
thanks, it will be done tomorrow after my doctor apt.
How is it coming Tim? Sorry I didn't make it by. U get it figured out?
Everything is good, its cool maybe another time. I just decided to keep it how it is.
Did you get the hanging kit for the Vegas or is that a mount stickin up behind the tank? Rock work looks cool from what you can see. Is it set up or is it Gona move?
Got the Ext hanging kit and got the lights hung up tonight and programmed the wireless controller, I don't like my rock work but I'm lazy maybe some day soon I will redo it. I still got about another 50 - 70lbs of live rock sitting around.
-
Well finally got my lazy self up and hung the hardware for my AI Vegas. Got the sand in the tank set up some dry rock and the tank is being filled!
Also got my 6105 on the tank and about 2 weeks ago set up my feed button and my cabinet light to turn on when I open the door.
Gotta love that Apex.
Still have a little bit to do but it's finally coming along.

I can tell you this its very convenient to have a controller but if you do not plan on taking advantage of its full capabilities then its just a glorified timer that you can control easier. You can also get American dj and have individual power to each outlet.
I personally love my apex as I have created a feed button and to automatic turn on the cabinet light when the door is open I run AI vega so my apex can't control those. I have my pumps turn off when I press the feed button for 5 mins. There are many features that controllers can do to make life easier hope this helps

When I started my 190 I added both my mandarins 2 weeks after I started it and they were fine until I broke down my tank I think your good to have at least 1 you can always add another later just make sure it's a female
And I didn't use any live rock all dry

I just wasted 30 mins of my life reading this entire build. I was looking forward to seeing this tank build only to find a disappearing tank.... Although it is pretty funny at the end...
That's why I just look at pics first lol

Ha. So I missed it by one word?I don't remember what you called, but I'm loving the external overflow. Next tank I get....
planet aquarium calls it external center overflow depending on the company building the tank will have different names
yup lol
Well got the tank to my house on Sunday forgot to mention that my tank came with the back already black which is great for me!
started doing the plumbing today. I got the overflow done now I need to drill my sump and then I can finish the plumbing.
Since I couldn't really set anything else up below the tank I went ahead and set up my Neptune APEX. Got the network set up and set up on my phone also
I plan on doing some new things with my Apex this time around.
I am going to setup Apex to control
Tunze 6105 x4
cabinet light to turn on when I open the door
ATO
Feed button
for the people who do not have a controller you can have your cabinet light turn on through motion sensor. they sell them at Wal-mart and lowe's
