Well my tank is doing great already got pods everywhere. All parameters are good. My biopellet pump is the loudest pump I got and I need to figure something out was thinking of plumbing it into my reeflow and increase my ghp from 2600 to 3600ghp that way I will be prepared for a calcium reactor too.

over the past couple of weeks I added

powder blue tang, hippo tang, red headed wrasse, and sunburst anthias and a lot of SPS, some zoa's/paly's

You could be right about your coral absorbing your alk and you not able to keep up. I have a friend that had to run a ca reactor and a dosing pump to keep up with the absorption.

I would save up and get a apex light you usually can find one on reef central for around $300. And you would need a gaming adapter or a bridge adaptor to run it wireless and also the fact that you will be hooking it up into a school network is prob not going to work due to the security's and will they let you access the router?
