  1. Hey Hydro, It was nice meeting you and seeing your awesome setup. I got everything home and into the tank just fine. I cant wait for everything to grow out. I do have some concerns that I might have gotten a frag of the wrong ACAN. It looks quite a bit different to me?
  2. Maybe next time. Thanks! -Madness
  3. If mitch doesnt take all, Ill take : head teal hammer $15 I'm also interestd in these depending on what they look like. cant see whats what in the pics heads of rainbow acans $25 thanks! -Madness
  4. Hey, why not contact Live Aquaria and let them know that you are trying to orchestrate a group order for them through ARC but can't because they are not one of our sponsors. Ask them if the would like to become a sponsor? I think their Divers den is sick. -Madness
  5. Thanks! i'll give it a try. One of the items i wanted was out of stock so i didnt place the order yet. I will start a new thread and try to get 10 names.
  6. Well I guess its just three of us. 1) Madness 2) chrisp 3) wa1tx Not enough for the discounts but since I have enough for free shipping already, I'd be glad to add to my order as long as you don't mind stopping by my house to pick it up. I live 5 min from RCA. I really need to place my order tonight though, so please PM me with your number so we can talk if you are interested. -Madness
  7. Thanks for being so understanding. If you cant wait, i got him from Aquatek. He is the 2nd one i've gotten from there. both were healthy and hungry. I do like the idea of him being a ARC sea hare touring all the tanks that need him. good luck -Madness
  8. Thanks Robb I'll check it out. Meanwhile, I guess i can wait till tonight to see if we 10 people interested. just post here if your interested. thanks! -Madness
  9. Hey, I am going to place an order for a build your own RO/DI setup. .i already qualify for free shipping at $175 but They have an interesting group buy program I'm on city of austin water which uses chloramines for sterilization. BRS is the only RO/DI that I've seen with chloramine specific filters in it. Anyone interested in trying this?(we need 10 people) I think we would still have to subgroup to get above 175 for free shipping but it would give us access to lower prices now and in the future. BulkReefSupply Group Buys We have a unique way of doing Group Buy's at BulkReefSupply.com. Instead of requiring groups to place a single large order we give each group buy participant individual access to our lowest prices. There are no purchase quantity or order size requirements. Each participant gets the lowest prices even if they only buy one item. This removes the need to organize one big bulk order, collect all the payments, and distribute the order. And this also means Group Buys at BulkReefSupply are not limited to local clubs! That's right, because orders are shipped separately group buys can involve people from all over the country and Canada. *New* We are now awarding 2,000 BRS reward points for the club member who organizes the group buy. We recognize effort spent on organizing a group buy and feel you should be rewarded for your time. These points will be awarded to the organizer the morning your group buy begins. To set up a Group Buy with BulkReefSupply.com simply: Gather a minimum of 10 participants Instruct everyone to create an account on BulkReefSupply.com if they don't have one already*critical* Pick a Tuesday the group buy will start. Group buys run Tuesdays through the following Monday. Complete the group buy form and send to [email protected] . You can download the form by clicking this link or send a request to the email address above. Then what? Here is what will happen after your list is emailed: On the pre-determined Tuesday each participant will receive an email notifying them that the Group Buy has started. Participants can start buying as soon as they get this email. Please wait for this email before placing orders! During the group buy week participants will login to their own account to place their own order, which ships immediately. At the end of the Group Buy each participant's account will be changed to Preferred Customer. BRS Preferred Customer pricing is generally between our retail and group buy prices. This permanent upgrade is our way of saying thanks for getting your reef supplies with us!
  10. Nice to meet you too Chris! and thanks for the frags. of course, i had to frag the frag before getting it mounted. So now i hame multiple frags. anyway, i'll let you know how they progress. I wouldnt mind an update on Harry in a couple of weeks either. -Madness
  11. Hi Stacy, Sorry, I have someone already ahead of you at noon today and i do not think it will fall through. My sea hare has eaten green hair algae like shown in the picture and a small colony of brown slime/filament type algae and the algae that forms on the glass of the tank that turbo snails also eat. I Highly recommend you give a sea hare a try for whatever algae problem you may have. The only problem with them is that if they die in your tank, they make a mess!!! so once they clean everything out, you need to sell them before they starve to death. I have never had one die before, but the stories range all the way to killing the whole tank. so you need to make sure to sell them when their job is done. good luck
  12. Hi bluefish84, I am sorry but, I have been unable to contact you through your PM and you have not revisited this thread to see my request that you post your phone number or clean out your mailbox so that you can receive my PM's. I also posted a comment on your profile page but i just cant seem to get ahold of you I am afraid I will need to let Harry go to someone else as he is hungry and there is nothing left to eat in my tank. If you haven't responded by Noon today to this thread, I will have to pass you over. Again, i wouldn't do this if i wasn't worried about getting Harry some food soon. -Madness

  17. Got another sea hare for sale!!! $20 cash or $10 plus frag just as before. He's ready to go. Just let me know. Thanks! -Madness
  18. Hey I need a new impeller in mine too. where'd you get it? -Madness Deciding weather to replace impeller or just upgrade....
  19. Ha, Thanks for the clarification. Thats kinda funny. Its a Fishy Business sump that I am modifying.... I decided to put it back into use after 24 hours. package says tack free 30 min water exposure in as little as 3 hours @ 65F with 50%humidity otherwise wait 8 hours Full cure 24 hours package also says not for use below waterline. Presumably, thats to avoid any lawsuits related tot he strength of the product. I will report back my findings. Thanks again, - Madness BTW: nemirn, you PM mailbox appears to be full.
  20. hi nemirn, can you please confirm you were using the GE II and NOT the GE 1? Thanks , -Madness
  21. wow. can i run for a week with just the powerheads and no sump? I added one divider in my sump. I was doing a water change anyway so i just dried out the sump completely and added the divider. not sure how long i should run without the sump/filter/skimmer etc. but i guess its better to be safe than sorry. maybe i'll wait the week.
  22. Whew! thanks for the response. That helps me breath a bit easier. I also found this link http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f15/need-suggestions-123901.html#post1055119 I guess I'll let it cure over night instead of just 3 hours to make sure all the methanol and ammonia have evaporated. then I'll cut it loose Just for clarification, this stuff is stock number GE500
  23. I was tricked by the 100% silicone on the label. I just used this to install a plexiglass divider in my sump. I need to know if i have to rip it out before it dries. I was reading about the drying time when i read on the back "Not for use below the water line, where FDA compliance is necessary, or aquariums" http://www.caulkyourhome.com/ge-silicone-II-window-and-door.php please tell me this stuff is OK to use.
