the skimmer is about 1year old..no issues what so ever with it..it skims great as u can see in the picture...i modded the intake tube cause the stock intake is mounted right at the base of the collection cup and with the water level it requires, it tended to make a slurp/gurgle sound. so i took it apart and added my own air tube out the bottom along side the power cord and up out the side so i can now have a longer more adjustable air intake..this skimmer is really great..i will be in Austin tomorrow fish store hopping so if your friend wants it let me know...i live 87 miles away so sense i will be in town it will be more convenient...

i run phosguard every now and then to remove any unwanted phosphates..it had worked really well for me..no need for a reactor to use it also..although it is better..just throw it in a sock and toss it in a sump or whatever...like previously said..decrease your photo period..i only feed my fish 2..maybe 3 times a week...and watch how much u feed also since u only have 2 fish in there..uneaten food will lead to algae fast..hope this works out for you...dont give up

i really need this gone asap..
29g biocube tank with stand (stand missing one knob on the door)
comes with Tunze 9002 skimmer (modded air intake so it would stop slurp/gurgle sound) , Ecotech MP10ES, a Current Nova Extreme Pro light fixture(no t5 bulbs in it) with 3 exocotic panaroma pro 12k/445nm moduels with power supply and 3 way splitter, BRS media reactor (no pump)
i am asking $550.00 for the whole setup..the led's r not even a month old. i am not willing to part this out just yet but i am interested in a even trade for a MP40es or wireless.
will clean tank and equipment up as soon as it is sold. PM me is interested.thanks

looks well worth the price for the amount of glue you get..i see some people complaining on the price, so i did a little math to prove a point. here it goes.
Locktite superglue gel = $2.00 for .14oz...that is equivelant to 4.14ml per bottle so i rounded to just 4ml.
it would take almost 74 bottles of this to equal one bottle of ecotech coral glue
Soo...if u like to keep squeezing little tubes and paying 148 dollars for 74 of these, u might wanna think about it.....its $50 dollars for 295ml of ecotech coral glue..i think im gonna go witht he ecotech coral glue...its all psychological..its like seeing prices for 2.99...and the first thing that pops into ur head is that its under 3.00...i think i might try some of this glue after all this rambling i have done...see yall later

the fish's right eye did look like it had dead skin hanging off of it last night but these pics were taken just now and the fish looks totally different...they eye looks alot better although there is a few tiny white spots and on its right side where it looks like its scratching on the rocks...hope this helps...i think i might be able to nip it in the butt before it becomes a problem
