  4. for all of us that don't have the nice controllers i found a sweet and free way to keep track of everything..it would be nice to get these guys to become a sponsor..thrive aquatics offer a free online social profile and an online journal. just register and bam...enter Ur tank info and start entering Ur parameters..it keeps track for you and puts them on a graph..lets you know if Ur prams r high or low and even gives u a prescription of what you should do..thrive aquatics just don't take pride in their products but also in their prescriptions that are given even recommed other brand products as well...check it out..its a really neat way to keep track of you aquarium for free. now my aquarium is in check and is thriving..This is a great way for new reefers to keep track as well...i always see people asking what they should do..this will help out a lot..just test and enter Ur results..

  5. i have something that u might try out..i havent done it personally but i heard it works...run you air intake tubing from you skimmer outside...this will allow fresh air from outside to be taken in by the system and in doing so will also raise the ph...it just food for thought...better than having the windows open all day..if you try it let me know how it works out.

  6. i made a little video of my sump/fuge. i was bored and wanted to do something. lets start this thread. heres my filtration setup....now lets see your....it could educate new comers to the hobby or it can even help out the normal reef keeping junkie. post now!!!

  7. I have a mag 7 for my return right now in a 90 gallon system. One koralia 1400 I think. I have about 5 ft of head and with the 7 it barely moves the water. I was looking into upgrading to a mag12. At 5 ft this would produce about 1100 gph. Is this too much? I would like to keep sps in the future but mainly lps right now. If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears also

  8. good idea. but it is really hard to do cause the tank is already set up and i have to drill from the inside of the tank..kinda hit or miss type thing...lol..but definitely a good idea i might give it a try
