What kind of skimmer is that? I am interested.

I have never kept seahorses so I am not sure. I would try google'ing the scientific name: Duncanopsammia Aixfuga. Water flow requirement is low to medium. I am not sure if they would like the temp required for a seahorse tank.
Perhaps some of the seahorse lovers here will chime in......Brooks.....

So I removed the rock it was covering. That did the trick!

Have you tried to peel it off? I think walmart sells it as a scrap book peeler or you can find at Hobby Lobby.

since you have a small tank like me check out seachem's alk and Reef Complete (CA, Sr (strontium) and Mg). I like it. Avail at the dome

HOB filter easier for dealing with the minimal carbon requirements.
That's what I use for Carbon....an Aquaclear with nothing in it but a filter bag that I swap out every week. If you have at least three bags its a snap
