interested in everything... let me know about the stand (its our main interest)
A&J:
Liz expressed intgerest in the stand so she is first. Need to find out if she also wants rest of items too.
If that falls thru then you're next on the list.

Ugh. Just found out I'm going to have to have surgery this coming Monday. I'm still planning on going, but depending on how it goes I might not be able to do much collecting.
Jeremy, the trip to PA should be good R&R for you. Looks as if I won't have a tank to keep anything I do find, but would like the experience, practice and enjoyment of doing so (in prep for the Oct trip).
If you want you can have whatever I get/find. I even have a battery powered air pump I could loan you.

Have started the build somewhat. At least got a good idea on how I want it. Decided to go with 3 separate return pumps from the sump after talking with Shane, though he did bring up a possible heat problem with
running 3 pumps. Have to look at what pumps are available, size and wattage used (lower wattage=less heat). Plus plan on adjusting pump size to each individual tank, figuring a gph turnover rate at 6-8 times quantity. Like the idea of Hydro's and others on using SPA flex tubing instead of rigid PVC. Still have to investigate more concerning the siphon break holes.
Stand will be along the wall enclosed L shaped shelf type and about 20/22" wide on the long section and 26/28" on the short leg. It will be braced/crossbraced 2x6s and 1/2 plywood skinned (top of course 3/4"). All to be painted dark blue. Height still to be determined although I'm leaning toward 38", as I would like to comprimise between viewing sitting down and being able to work in tank. Lights will be hanging retrofit T-5 fixtures hidden by removable false-front canopies sized for each tank.
Again ideas and feedback welcome.

Note: had an idea- raising the sump and drilling a 1" hole in the side about 3" below the top and running a fitting to another holding tank or container directly along side. Would give me a safety margin in case of overflow from power failure. Again would depend on skimmer height. but it could also act as drain for skimmed material. Any feedback?

Wayne, Friday at 11:30 will work just fine. My husband is going to meet you. Thank you so much for the stand!!

I would like the air pump. Can meet u any day
Will,
got an extra small air pump I had set aside for possible use. I can let you have it if you want.
How about meeting at RCA Friday - the time to be set by Liz, but hopefully early afternoon.

RCA would work great. I'm working out the details on my end for a vehicle to transport the stand in. Are you flexible on time at all Wayne? I'm not gonna be difficult about a freebie so I'll make the time work if that's best for you. Thanks so much! I'll just take the stand unless you have lights that'd work for a 55 freshwater tank. I could sure use some, let others get a chance at the rest of the goodies. If you'd like I have some fast growing softies that always need trimming: pom-pom Xenia, anthelia & Kenya tree. You wanted a frag of encrusting gorgonian, or is my memory failing me? I also have a little one head with multiple buds frag of galaxia, its pretty and my larger frags do NOT have long sweeper tentacles and the guy that had the mother colony said it didnt either.
At any rate, if you'd like any or all of the above I'll bring them when I get the stand. Oh, this Fri is RCAs first Friday sale! Is that just in the evenings?
LIZ - I can probably delay until about 1 or 2 pm Friday. I just don't do well driving at night or in traffic.
Thanks for the offer, but my Nano is maxed out right now.

Hey Wayne...did you send it to the correct email address as it has not gone through?

Liz - they're all about the same distance for me. If serious how about the RCA on Friday around 11:30 or so?

Am cleaning out my garage and getting rid of assorted fresh water equipment I no longer have a need for.: Hate to trash the items which someone can possibly use, (maybe even for a pico sized reef
set-up). Equipment includes HOB small heaters, air pumps (working), light fixtures, decorative rock and plastic plants, undergravel filters, glass and plastic tank covers, various pieces to in tank filters, HOB filters, plastic tubes for same, etc., and a 55gal long metal stand, Everything has been in storage so needs cleaning, etc.. No tanks included.
If interested, PM and we'll see if we can make arrangements. Plan on doing a LFS run either Thurs or Friday after 11:00 am.

Up for an Oct trip also. Something to further talk about and checking on group rates while we're down there this month.

Been watching this post since it went on line, waiting to see what others thought.
Need another 48" T-5 set-up, but want a retrofit so as to set it up like I want.
Wish you would have posted a price as 1. Don't want to get into a bidding war (ala e-bay)
2. The fixture new is only slightly less then the retrofit kit I have in mind and
that comes with the bulbs of my choice and a better ballast. 3. With a posted price, I could decide if it
would be worth the effort to tear it apart and rebuild it like I want. 4. Finally if I made an offer, don't want
you to feel that I am low-balling nor do I want to wait around while you decide to wait for a better offer.

Mama,
Lynn and I are also in Seaside.

Don't know if it will work on aquariums, but how about using a mild toothpaste.
Works on windshields.
Might want more input before trying it though. Give Shane or Prof a call and
ask.

Ok Kris.
List some places for us. All across the price spectrum if possible and anything on the island would be great.
Kris - is the 3 Georges (?) still open? Loved their shrimp both grilled and peel ur own.
