Yes...
Nominal lagering times are 3 - 4 weeks at 45°F, 5 - 6 weeks at 40°F, or 7 - 8 weeks at 35°F.
-
I think that is similar to a lager..

Yep it is...
In order to do a lager you need to be able to ferment at low temps... I have a fermentation chiller, but I can't get temps low enough to do a lager. Beers like that are really hard to do because there is not much taste there. The less taste the more you can taste screw ups..

We will have to have another meeting at my place next year sometime.. I think Next time I'll have to make 10 gallons of brew.. That 5 gal keg went fast last time..

I like swag! Have the mothership contact St Arnold and see what they can do about getting a cask conditioned Pumpkinator delivered to BB just for the festivities.
HAHAHA... I love the way you think... :-D

Most of you guys on here who have seen my tank know that I have a couple of Ocellaris clowns that host what once was a pretty big RBTA (Until it split).
Bud (clarkiicircus) and I were kicking around the idea of housing a couple of his clarkii in my tank as my Ocellaris.
The initial results were pretty apparent that "mama O" was not going to have another set of clowns in the tank.. I then decided to divide the tank with a piece of egg crate so "mama O" couldn't get in, but the clarkii could get in and out.
Note: the Os mainly stay on the right side of the tank, so I put the Cs on the left side..
For a couple of weeks I would pull the divider for a little bit to see what would happen.. mama O would come rushing over to greet the Cs at first, but now I have removed the egg crate all together. mama O still comes to visit the Cs, but the fight isn't there any more, She will swim around and show she is queen and then swim off. This happens several hundred times a day..
I have now put the home made fish trap in the tank next to the Cs area so they can have a safe place that mama O cannot get to.
Note: daddy O does not ever visit the Cs..

ok.. this was a complete failure..
The device works great, but only if the line coming out of the bucket go down and not down, back up, and then down again.. The air in the lines keep the system from getting suction and the bucket overflows.. Good thing it overflowed in the garage... Back to the drawing board.

We will find out.. It tested ok out of the tank.. We will see how it goes..

oh.. the hole that is there is plenty big..

Carlson Surge Tank in the making right now....
Will be testing a 5 gallon surge tank with 1" outlet piping.. I will be utilizing the circulation pump (Mag 12) to fill the bucket. Here is the trick.. Bucket will be in the garage behind the tank and wife will not let me put another hole in the wall... so I have to utilize the hole already in the wall, but it is 2" from the floor.. Pipe will have to run all the way to the floor and back up to the tank, but I don't think that will be an issue since the bottom of the bucket will be 2' above the top of the tank. Photos to come later..

to me it wouldn't be worth it.. It would have to be 300+ for me to think about it.. too much work for so little of an upgrade.
