I just got called out by the @boognish.. I've been screaming the same exact thing for years bro!.. then again when FB decided to start putting snowflakes in charge of the whole "animals for sale" crap and deleting posts and banning people for days. Sorry not sorry if I hurt your feewings... YOU CAN RESEARCH old threads on crap that comes up every effing week. @Timfish has done long term research on topics that people to this day are trying to figure out for the billionth time how to do and bicker about on FB..  All of this has reminded me that I need to get my "Evolution of my reef tank" site up and going...  ****, 10 years is a long time to have a fish.

selling or will trade for coral a working American Marine pH controller. I used this to control my calcium reactor before I got an apex unit.

For sale is my 135 Oceanic Reef Ready aquarium with stand and canopy. I set this up as a peninsula tank and removed one of the overflows. The tank is drilled in both rear corners and I did reseal the tank 2 years ago but it has sat in the house empty since then. Dimensions are 72"x24"x18".

is the tank still available?

I'm on year 2 doing IT administration and support at Tanknology. They are a company that does EPA and government compliance testing on petroleum tanks whether they be above or below ground. I'm newly married with 3 kids and a new house. Thinking about a career change becoming a teacher. I still dabble in photography and micro brewed beer as well.

another handy tip:

After knocking my Tunze wave controller into a half-filled bucked while still plugged in, it started to freak out (leds flickering, not remaining on etc)

I took out all the screws, shook out all the water I could and still the problems persisted.

repeated and placed it in a ziplock bag with dry rice and sealed it up. Left it overnight and works perfectly this morning! (the rice absorbs the moisture in the bag)

Generally I would recommend 24-72 hours just to be sure

yeah.. you'll want to rinse that with fresh water or alcohol to get the salt out before drying it out with rice.

I also want to start my own business but this hobby is what's holding me back. I really need to find a good cruising place on my 90 then I can start saving up.

Until then I'll just keep throwing money inside my glass box.

My girlfriend and I own a pet sitting company (soon to be pet services). I worked in every aspect of the pet industry you could imagine. I imported animals out of Africa and Madagascar for a while. Then I went to working retail for a while with ridiculous hours. Due to those hours I got a job working for a veterinary clinic that was great. I then decided to pick up and move from Austin to Los Angeles for a year to see how the stars live. I worked for a Chameleon Rescue there that was basically the main intake for illegally imported chameleons. After realizing that everyone in LA worked 3-4 jobs to make it by until they either became a movie star or worked with a union long enough to sustain a family we decided to move back to Austin and start the Pet Sitting company. I worked an hourly job while my wonderful girlfriend kicked the company in to gear and now we are expanding to become a one stop shop for in home pet care

My advice to anyone struggling to get over the $10 per hour hump is to find a way to turn something you love in to an income! We absolutely love caring for animals and it has become a great way to support us!

If anyone needs any tips or ideas for growing a new business or just wants to chat about it hit me up! I love hearing how people want to support themselves and break away from making everyone but themselves money

I may need to talk to you. We have a neighbor.. and us.. that will be going out of town over Thanksgiving and may be in need of your services.. They will be getting a new boxer puppy here in about a week.. We have two cats and the two tanks.. They will be gone for a week, and we will only be gone for about 3.5 days.

I totally agree with you about the $10 hump around here.. I don't get it.. Thus the reason I work for myself and am thinking of starting a new business.

I have over 13 years of computer repair and work for myself as well as being a stay at home dad. I also am trying to get a photography business up and going and doing everything I can here and there to help pay the bills.
