Cannon T-3 with a 100 F2 macro lens, I don't shoot in the raw as you can process JPG if you set the setting on your camera correctly. Macro photography and astrophotography process about the same. Work in layers to get the color to pop!!
Jason Fox Halloween Chalace, JPG format
I want that lens... Nice pic

After only having one entry last month.. I'm starting to wonder if you guys want to keep doing this...
For the month of May.. A photo of anything that is in your tank. This should be easy..
Please note the rules:
- Picture must be taken by you.
- One entry per person.
- Picture must contain be aquatic themed/related.
- (New) You may only win once every 12 months. Thus if you win a photo contest in March, you will not be able to enter any future contests until after March of next year. We feel this gives everyone a chance in the contests throughout the year.

I'm kicking it around, but I'm not sure what day they are on.. I have a small 2.5 gallon tank I may try and tie into this system.. I have more research to do for sure..

I have one of those.. I like mine.

I added a bag of sand.. but it stays pretty clean with the sand sifting starfish, conch, dot dash goby, nassarius snails and now a yellow headed jawfish.

Enjoy!

another handy tip:
After knocking my Tunze wave controller into a half-filled bucked while still plugged in, it started to freak out (leds flickering, not remaining on etc)
I took out all the screws, shook out all the water I could and still the problems persisted.
repeated and placed it in a ziplock bag with dry rice and sealed it up. Left it overnight and works perfectly this morning! (the rice absorbs the moisture in the bag)
Generally I would recommend 24-72 hours just to be sure
yeah.. you'll want to rinse that with fresh water or alcohol to get the salt out before drying it out with rice.

I was there, but it will be hard to prove..

It would be better off healing in the tank that it has been in.. If I wanted it cut I'd pay you for it and then cut it and leave it in your tank to heal.. moving it first could be more stress on it.

You don't have to do that.. Just slice the foot slightly and it will split on its own..

I also want to start my own business but this hobby is what's holding me back. I really need to find a good cruising place on my 90 then I can start saving up.
Until then I'll just keep throwing money inside my glass box.

best joke of the day..

My girlfriend and I own a pet sitting company (soon to be pet services). I worked in every aspect of the pet industry you could imagine. I imported animals out of Africa and Madagascar for a while. Then I went to working retail for a while with ridiculous hours. Due to those hours I got a job working for a veterinary clinic that was great. I then decided to pick up and move from Austin to Los Angeles for a year to see how the stars live. I worked for a Chameleon Rescue there that was basically the main intake for illegally imported chameleons. After realizing that everyone in LA worked 3-4 jobs to make it by until they either became a movie star or worked with a union long enough to sustain a family we decided to move back to Austin and start the Pet Sitting company. I worked an hourly job while my wonderful girlfriend kicked the company in to gear and now we are expanding to become a one stop shop for in home pet care
My advice to anyone struggling to get over the $10 per hour hump is to find a way to turn something you love in to an income! We absolutely love caring for animals and it has become a great way to support us!
If anyone needs any tips or ideas for growing a new business or just wants to chat about it hit me up! I love hearing how people want to support themselves and break away from making everyone but themselves money
I may need to talk to you. We have a neighbor.. and us.. that will be going out of town over Thanksgiving and may be in need of your services.. They will be getting a new boxer puppy here in about a week.. We have two cats and the two tanks.. They will be gone for a week, and we will only be gone for about 3.5 days.
I totally agree with you about the $10 hump around here.. I don't get it.. Thus the reason I work for myself and am thinking of starting a new business.
