I have a hang on the back Octopus skimmer with an OTP 1000 pump that pumps 1000 liters per hour which is about 265 gallons. Way less than what I have been told what I need. I have a 100 gallon tank. Can I just go buy a bigger pump to go onto the skimmer I have? Will it have the same size piece that this one screws onto? Not actual pick.(I dont have the room for a sump so thats why i have a hang on the back)

The pump is rated for the skimmer. You can call or email Coralvue they can tell you if there are any possible alternatives. Another option would be to add a second skimmer but I think you would be better off with 1 big skimmer I would look for something rated at 150g or bigger for a 100g tank. Coralvue makes really good skimmers for the price. If it is at all possible I would suggest a sump or a recirculating skimmer.
