Tonya
I got a carpet anemone a few weeks ago and its been eating about 10-15 frozen Krill a day. Well today I forgot to feed him before I went to work. When I came home I noticed that it had my star fish trapped and was eating it. I pulled it out and he was missing two legs. Do the legs grow back? will it survive? Edited September 13, 2009 by Tonya

Tonya
its a serpent starfish.. It looked creepy. One of its legs went all the way through the anemone and was wrapped around it. The body was in the anemones mouth. I had to pull it out with tweesers. It seems to be doing fine tho.
renman303
This is why I got rid of my Carpet Anemone. Both of my urchins stumbled into in and one died. The other lost about 1/3 of his spines, although he recovered.
JamesL
What??? reef_pug hasn't been in here with his death trap carpet anemone stories?? But like the others have said, your starfish should grow it's legs back. I have a sand star that got ravaged by hermits and lost 3 legs. It has regrown all three pretty much back all of the way.
