+Daniel
Up for sale is a Coralife Super Skimmer 220. Bought this with my tank a couple of months ago, but it's time to sell. I've done a few mods to the skimmer which gave me about 18oz of very dark skimmate every 3 days-- my new skimmer still doesn't do that The mods done can all be reversed, but here they are: 1) fishing line on the needlewheel 2) relocated the skimmer's output to my fuge (via new pvc ducting) 3) added a small air pump (quiet, efficient, and effective) to boost the venturi I'll also include some enkamat if you'd like to try your hand at a mesh-wheel impeller. Asking $100.

Rjohn
Did you have an ATO on your system?
+Daniel
Did you have an ATO on your system? Yes, I use a Tunze Osmolator.
Rjohn
Probably why it worked so well. I don't think skimmers work very effectively without an ATO system. I don't have an ATO system at this point. That's my NEXT project.
+Daniel
Skimmers need a constant water level, otherwise they go crazy whenever conditions change. bump

+Daniel
I also still have this. Asking $50. Won't come with the air-pump mod, unless I can find it.

+Daniel
and this would be? Are you referring to the skimmer or the mod?
+Daniel
and this would be? It will perform to the original specifications without the mod. It's a decent skimmer, especially for the price.
