Are there any lighting calculators (I looked here, MAAST, Reef Central) that would help clarify? I've heard 6 watts per gallon as a rule of thumb, but I've also her wattage relates to the depth you are trying to penetrate. What mix should there be between metal hilides and florescent? How much actinic blue should you have? In particular, and as an example, if I was looking at a 180g or 200g (6 or 7 X 2 X2) that I wanted to have a lot of SPS, what metal hilide (bulbs and wattage), daylight flourescents, and actinic flourescents should I be shooting for?
