julespinkyd
I have a purple goniopora that I have had for about 3 years. It was doing good in my 30 Gallon tank for about 2 1/2 years. It even started growing. I recently upgraded about 4 months ago to a 75 and sold the 30. After the upgrade it would not come out and it started to die off. I just fragged it about 4 days ago. I decided to cut off all of the dead area off and try to nurse what was left. It seems to not like this tank. I am giving it away for free to someone willing to take the time to care for it. I have done a lot of research and have some good information on the keeping of this coral. I have been target feeding it oyster eggs, cyclops, and rotifers under a clear dome but I have had no luck. I was about to throw it away but don't have the heart to kill my 3 year lived pet. If you have the time and are willing to try to nurse it back to life. You are welcome to have it. I am in Round Rock about a 3 blocks from the HEB plus. Let me know ASAP when you would like to pick it up before I make up my mind and cut my loss. I have attached a Doc file on its care and a picture of what it used to look like when it first started to die off...
