reefman
Is this an snail egg trail? Stephen
OceanHomes
Yes, that's snail eggs.
reefman
Should I leave them, or wipe them away? Not sure that these aren't from those black Nassarius snails that are in the other thread. Stephen
OceanHomes
Either way they will probably not survive. They will more than likely turn into fish food, coral food. Spiraling like that should be astrea eggs.
reefman
OK, thanks. Stephen
+Bmwaaron
Those are Cerith snail eggs... I just leave them alone, they wont hatch, most likely to become fish food
Kingfish
I agree, they look like cerith snail eggs and pose no harm.
thedude
I have baby ceriths all over my tank as we speak so don't give up on them too easy fish.gif
reefman
I'm leaving them alone. Found a few more egg clusters and I'm trying to leave them all alone (have accidently knocked a few off from cleaning the glass in corners that I didn't know were there, but that main trail is still all intact). Lauren swears she sees baby snails in that tank (her eyes are definitely better than mine) so it seems possible they could hatch. I just wnted to make sure they weren't more of the potentially "bad" snails from the article link you posted. Stephen
