JamesL
So I was at Aquadome Friday, and saw they had a bunch of acan frags for sale. This is the first time really seeing some up close and in person. What shocked me was that each polyp was pretty tiny. Now from pictures, acans looked pretty big, but I guess every picture was using a zoom lens. Are all acans polyps really small? Or are different varieties larger? I guess I always had in mind they were about the size of a blasto (which I got ) or a candy cane polyp. +ACampbell
You may have been looking at micromusa. They look the same, but are usually smaller.
JamesL
You may have been looking at micromusa. They look the same, but are usually smaller. Possible ... though they did have them labels as Acan's. Was just curious, as they were all the rage to have not too long ago.
fishypets
Were the nice looking? Some acans can get crazy expensive but have awesome colors.
JamesL
Were the nice looking? Some acans can get crazy expensive but have awesome colors. Nothing really spectacular. Mostly subtle greens and reds. I think they were asking between $39.99 to $49.99 for the frags. Edited May 4, 2009 by seahorsejl

KaceyJ
I have received acans in the mail that were tiny when they arrived, but within a few days started swelling to normal size.
