classclownfish
I'm looking for an auto top-off for my sump. Reliability and functionality are more important then cost. Though lower cost would help but ultimately I'm looking for something that will be reliable and work as expected. I'd be looking for something like a double switch for those "just in case moments". It won't be hooked up to a RODI it will be running from a pump (to be determined from switch option) attached to a water reservoir.

chrisfowler99
autotopoff.comsuper affordable and it works fine. I have one. I have the same one. My only complaint is the length of the wire on the third switch (run-dry switch in the reservoir. I need to lengthen it. Otherwise it's a very good setup. +mcallahan
Tunze Osmolator is the industry standard for perfection. As is most anything Tunze makes. Just get ready to pay for it! (which makes sense)
+Daniel
I love my Tunze Osmolator, but for what it does, it's not that cheapest. Edited May 4, 2009 by Daniel
mFrame
So I bought the unit at autotopoff.com, and now am looking at reservoirs. I'd really like to use an extra 5gal bottle I have, but I need a pump solution. I found this pump(Jebao PP300LV) that will fit through the neck, but don't think it will lift the water the 3' or so I need to the top of the aquarium. I also found a battery operated pump on ebay (Electric Pump Water Bottle Dispenser Camping - 5 Gallon) that is made to fit the 5gal jugs, but it runs on (2)D batteries, so I'd have to hack an a/c adapter on it so that the autotopoff would active it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Any ideas or suggestions? Aqualifter pump. It sits outside the reservoir and can lift up to 5' I think. Mine pulls water out of the jug, around the stand and into the sump. Dont have a link to it, but has a grey body and red nozzles for the input/output. I used airline tubing.
