Some people drop hundreds, even thousands, on fish or corals that may look plain to him. Something simple, like Eye of Rah or Purple Stylophora, might look amazing to him. Someone who can appreciate a tank for "subtleties" like actual health of the tank and fish and coral, and not just be blinded by the neon stuff...
