Hi, my wife and I were in Austin a few years back and went to this nice restaurant one evening for dinner, and now we cannot remember the name. It was something like Jamaican Breeze, or Caribbean something, ... it was quite the exotic atmosphere, and it was promo season, so lots of teens all dressed up, but we are planning to come to town in a few weeks, and want to go there again, if we can figure out what it is called! Any help please!

That was it, but it went out of business. It is now Baby Aculpoco's. Same building and style but mexican food now. If you want something more exotic try Habana on 6th street or on S. Congress. Cuban food with a great atmosphere. There is also Sao Paulo's on San Jacinto that is Brazilian food.

There is also my place, "Nonna's" a Mediterranean Fusion restaurant in Georgetown. You can read about us on our web site at www.nonnas.net or on Austin360.com under Dale Rice's Table Reviews or on Yahoo. Look up "Nonna's Cucina".

What Makes Us Unique?

-Amuse Bouche

-BYOB establishment with small $3/person setup

-EVERYTHING made from scratch.

-French Press Coffee.

-Reservation seating, no waiting. 863-3442

-No silly after-dinner mints...handmade cookies, pralines or chocolate covered fruit instead.
