4R00P3R
I have a Coralife 24" 65w Aqualight PC fixture for my sump that quit working. It must be the ballast or switch or wiring. Does anyone know what I should do? My algae is all dying and that means less filtration. Does anyone have a 65w straight pin lamp I can borrow? Any other suggestions? Please e-mail as I don't log on here as often anymore.
+ACampbell
I know a lot of people have successful refugeiums with just the standard clamp on light with a daylight bulb in it. I would try that out, or at least get one until you can get replacement parts for you pc fixture.

Entropy
Either the 65w LOA light from Home Depot or even one of the flourescent floods should work. The only light I have that you could borrow is a 250w 20k Metal halide retro but I don't know how you would mount it. Here is a good article from Marc http://sparklingfloorservice.com/melevsreef/fuge_bulb.html
