Bluemoon
it's hard to tell from the pictures what it is besides damage to the mouth. what is the top of your tank like? It's quite common for types of wrasses that bury themselves to hit they're nose on the bottom glass and damage they're mouths. My bet with a sixline is jumping into something though, he could have scratched Himself on your canopy and it's not healing well. How long have you had him? It's a very unlikely but it might be worth looking up Lymphocystis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KKAAY
ive had him for a couple of years....my tank is pretty much open and he usually is hanging around the bottom of the tank. he does bury himself in the rocks at night though..i will look that up...thx

FarmerTy
You got me. Like Bluemoon mentioned, look into lymphocystis... my guess is some type of bacterial infection... perhaps from a wound. You could treat with some antibiotic medication like Furan 2 and see if it helps. You would have to remove him and treat him outside of the display tank.
