ceastman
I have a candy cane coral that seems to have retracted? 1/21/2015: 1/27/2015 I haven't checked my magnesium much but a couple of weeks ago it was 1300: alkalinity and calcium have been stable. ceastman
Too much water flow?
Reburn
My initial guesses excluding swinging parameters. Too much water flow. Too much light.
ceastman
ok moved the candy cane from the middle of the tank to near the sand bed and near a rock to cut down on the currents.
ceastman
Just checked my magnesium, its only 1200. Where in Austin can I get some magnesium additive?

hammons.david
Is your candy cane new because when I got mine it didn't open for like 2 weeks, but now it is doing perfect.
+KimP
Mine is much happier since I moved it into a really shady spot. Of course that depends on how much light you have in your tank in general, but it's worth a try.

ceastman
Polyps came out tonight and I put in some reef chili tonight and some coral frenzy the night before after lights out. All my corals have their polyps out at night, its like have two different tanks the day time tank and the after hours tank.
