reefninja
I picked up a Hydor Koralia smart wave for my 29 biocube, and need to upgrade my power heads to go with it. What size would be appropriate for this size tank? I've seen conflicting information some saying to put two Koralia 240s, and some say they are running two 425s. nvrEnuf
It depends on what corals you're wanting/have (well, sort of). IMHO 2 240's is more than enough even for SPS. I had 1 425 on mine, and am still using that pump in my 90 gallon three years later. Truth be told, the standard return pump does a pretty good job on it's own; so I think two heads in a 29 was too obtrusive for my taste when I had coral in it. I now run that tank as a QT You'll be happy with either, but I'd only go with the 425's if I knew I would upgrade later.

Neon Reefer
In my 28G JBJ I utilized two 500gph on a wave maker and had good flow for most corals
