LonghornReefer
Skimmer has been producing a mixture of thick brown to wet brown skimmate. I recently re adjusted the skimmer and now is producing light green liquid. I have read up a little, some say it's good and some say bad. I'm curious on what I need to do, if anything. Thanks ARC! jaggedfire
I have had algae being picked up after cleaning the glass or phyto if I dosed. Both produced a vivid green skimmate.
LonghornReefer
Should I be worried? Isn't phyto good for your tank?
Robb in Austin
Should you be worried; no. Sounds like you adjusted it to skim wetter. Why did you adjust it? If it bothers you, adjust it back.
LonghornReefer
I knocked it over while I was tending to my sump. It started to make a noise, so I was playing with it to get the noise to stop. Not that it was a bother, but more like figuring out if the green liquid was good or bad. I have since then adjusted my skimmer to produce thicker skimmate. Thanks for the replies!
