Eric
It looks to me like everybody who has these is all over the map as I'm trying to determine which one or how many to order for a 90g standard tank. Should I jsut try one WP-40 first? Or go for two. or mix with a WP-25? I do have a middle of the road sized Koralia (model escapes me) that will eventually be in this tank. I'd like to get some moderate+ flow for this tank. I'm going to keep the flow to/from sump fairly low. My thinking right now is one WP-40 isn't enough, but wonder if two is too much. jestep
I use a single WP40 on my 90. Only when it gets really gunked up is it questionably not enough flow, but it's going to depend on your rockwork and what corals you are keeping as well. I would probably start with one and add something else later on if you think you need additional flow. 2 WP40's on a 90 would be crazy, so I would imagine you would need a wp10 or wp25 if the 1 pump wasn't enough. Sherita
A single 40 will be just fine. I run one on a 140g, and I throttle it back so that it doesn't blow water over the other end of the tank. They are way more powerful than you think. I run the 40's and the 25's and I love them. They are great.
