+Mlaw
I realize the HOB stands for Hang On Back and I get that you are supposed to hang these types of skimmers on the back of a tank with parts in the tank etc. But is there any reason why I couldn't put on inside the tank on my sump? real estate is pretty tight for the sump and there just isn't room to hang one on the back. I get that the water coming out would probably splash quite a bit falling back into the tank but I'm sure I can deal with that. What other issues would I have? +Capt. Obvious
water level...that is it...I have a HOB refugium on my sump, attached a funnel to the output to prevent splashing
+KimP
I had planned on doing just this. I was just going to lengthen the tube leading from the powerhead to the skimmer so that the powerhead is under water. How far under doesn't make any difference to the kind I have (remora).<br />
