Label each one, sure makes it easy to shut down your skimmer/powerheads/secondary pumps/reactors/whatever. I would be lost without mine. Never had a problem, and mine are mounted on the back side of my stands. I'm sure if you drowned them in saltwater you would have an issue, but I'm thinking if they get drowned then you probably have a much bigger problem going on.
