bansheehunk1
can someone find out for me wear i can buy some red belly pacu or black pacu here in austin or even online? I was going to start a 55 gal saltwater tank but because i cant find any good deals on used stuff to get started (that doesnt consist of bioballs or hang on the back of tank stuff) i decided on doing rare fresh water since i have experience in this type of hobby. I use to be able to buy them at petco but they dont sell them anymore last i checked.
JamesL
Try calling RCA or Aqua-Dome (check the Sponsors forums sections for numbers). Both of them carry freshwater fish in addition to saltwater.

August
thats interesting I used to work at petsmart on slaughter and they have always had them... but they do get giant... as in over 36in ever thought of silver dollars they are the same genus family as the pacu but stays smaller.... otherwise I would ask Aquadome I might have seen some in there but it was only a glance... they are a sponsor here so you can probably message them or call.. RUSH
I use to have a red belly way back in the day and they get HUGE. A 55 will be very temporary. The one I had was 15inches and ate fresh apples all the time. -Chris
