lost in atx
Any suggestions? Its skin does shift colors and patterns as is normal, but some of the smaller spots look to be new and concern me. Its behavior of late has been a little more skittish than usual.

cmanning
Water parameters?......How long have you had this fish?.......Foxfaces' are very hardy fish.....what about tank mates?
lost in atx
water's normal (hasn't changed much in the last year) and everyone else in the tank is doing fine. I have more algae than I would like, but I can't see a relation.
cmanning
It might of scrape itself on the rockwork or (if you have tangs) sometimes they might get finned by others. How long has it had this other black spots and have you seen improvement or has it worsen?
lost in atx
they've been there for a day or two, and I'm going to be keeping a close watch. I am skeptical of the rock scraping since this also seems to involve fins though. btw, i just re-checked my chemistry: calcium is a tad low in the tank, but everything else is ok.
