Demodiki
When connecting one computer fan to a wall wart...I just need to make sure the voltage is the same? So, a 12V fan goes with a 12V wall wart? Do I only need to be concerned about amperage when I am going to use multiple fans? I thought there were some posts explaining this somewhere but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance...
Timfish
Every 12 vdc fan I've played with will work over a range of voltages. Higher voltages will make a lot more noise and will burn up the fan sooner. Lower voltages the fan runs quieter and as far as I can tell as long or longer than at the rated voltage. You want to make sure the total wattage is less than the wattage of the voltage source. You can add up the amperage also making sure it is less than the rated amperage of the power supply. Demodiki
Thanks. I hooked them up and it's working a treat. I didn't notice the light inside the fan. Moonlights!
