jaggedfire
One of my mushrooms let go of the LR a week ago and finally moved into a position to where I could reach him. I pulled him out and reattached to a small rock but found what looks like a cluster of white worms around the mouth of the mushroom. This can't be normal?! +etannert
That's the guts. It is normal when a mushroom is handled for it to shrink up and for you to see some of the stringy white stuff from an orifice. This is most likely reproduction - it left a little piece of itself behind where it detached, which will grow into a new mushroom.

jaggedfire
Thanks for the replies! It had flattened out by this morning with an enlarged 'mouth'. Color is returning and is looking much better. I was just worried of parasites/etc and health of the individual. Thank you again.
