(Bio)³
Just got the glass hole saw and bulk heads in the mail, now to get the courage up to attempt to drill this empty biocube in my garage. Before I start does anyone have any tips before I start? I'll try and remember to take pictures with my Iphone as I go. Also, I'm still trying to decide where to put the holes if anyone has any suggestions.
99taws6
Keep the bit cooled with drilling fluid or water. Vegetable oil seemed to work well. I liked to start bit at a slight angle so one side of bits bite first then work in level. Just my preference. Might want to get an old broken tank or piece of glass to practice on first. Good luck. (Bio)³
We actually have a couple old windows outside work, might take the tank out there practice first and then cut it on lunch break.
(Bio)³
Got one hole saw in then saw a build that had some really nice plumbing and decided to go that route..... second hole saw ordered and on the way, think we might be drilling Friday!!! Will also soon be getting glass cut for a custom in tank sump and plumbing it all up!
