polarbear
So I noticed that the overflow on my tank is starting to get green hair alage growing in it. How do I prevent this? Should I cover it with a black piece of plexiglass?
Bry
To slow mine down, I bought one of those plastic notebooks, the kind with only pockets, no paper nor spirals... can't remember what they're called but they're dirt cheap. I cut out a piece big wide enough to reach just path the teeth of the box and roll up over most of the tube. This slows it down but only tank maintenance will totally stop it combiedwith this thing to cover the light getting into the boxes. Hope that helps. polarbear
So by tank maintenance do you mean scrubbing it out by hand?
stoneroller
Pull it out with tweezers if you can reach it. Keeping phos down will help too.
polarbear
Ya I have a BRS dual reactor but haven't set it up on this rank yet. Need some more phosphate media from BRS. Ive been checking my phosphates and it's 0 ppm.
