migs
I had a Bluestripe Pipefish in my aquarium for a little over a month... thick and happy... I decided to get some more as they were an interesting addition and added a mated pair... after the acclimation process, I added the pair and the two males began fighting immediately. My wife was able to get it on video... they seem to be getting along now... meaning staying apart and giving the alpha the right away... interesting video:
Hamp
The males are very likely to kill each other.
migs
Really? Oh no... I thought they would settle down in a hierarchy.
migs
Came home and one was still picking on the other... Have them separated right now. Not sure what to do with the other male.
Brooks
Came home and one was still picking on the other... Have them separated right now. Not sure what to do with the other male. How big is he? Where, and how long ago did you pick him up? Have you noticed any signs of stringy poop (this is a sign of intestinal worms)?
migs
I would say he is 2 1/2 inches... Had him for over a month... He was doing fine... No stringy anything. A couple of bumps on his snout but always had those. He is chased by the other pipefish then just finds a place in the rock and hides there.
