Stacy
Hi everyone, I've got a JBJ 12g nano-cube dx that has PC's in it. Is there a way to upgrade the lights in these all-in-one set ups? Planning on t-5's for the 46 work in progress tank, but would like better light in the little one too... Thanks for any help! Stacy
jestep
http://www.nanotuners.com/ and http://www.nanocustoms.com/ They both have a ton of upgrades and accessories for nano tanks. Otherwise, there's probably some DIY retro stuff you could do without a lot of work.
NonSequitur
I've seen people use clip-on 150w MH lights on tanks of this size (I think there's one listed in the for sale section if you're interested in going this route) , but that requires removing the tank lid. Nanotuners carries upgrade kits that allow you to run higher wattage PCs over your tank (a 96w upgrade if I recall correctly). My 12g aquapod was running on a 96w PC for a while before I took it down, it worked quite well, but I'm probably going to switch to LED when I bring it back up as a mantis tank. jestep
There's a clip-on 70W MW, that would fit this perfectly also. You would have to take the lid off as suggested with the 150. I think you could grow just about anything with the 70 or 150 MH.
