Derry
I have my guesses, but I'm looking for others to confirm or deny. What is this rascal?
jestep
Some sort of nassarius. Haven't seen one with that color but the tube is a giveaway.

Derekreefer
These snails are cool. They hide under the sand and when I feed the tank you see them "pop" up and start looking around for food with their trunks.
Viet-tin
that looks like a whelk to me. They eat snails and clams.
jestep
http://www.melevsree...ts_a_whelk.html Here's a comparison. They look almost identical in shape, but not so much coloring. The nassarius that I have are a pale gray color and not brown at all. Looks like the whelk type snail which is not completely reef safe.
