JeffT
I believe that Birdsnest (Seriatopora hystrix) is a good beginner SPS coral. Another good one would be montipora capricornis. I have been growing both under 3x39w T5HO and have had no problems.
pbnj
As for LPS, pretty much anything other than Acans (not that Acans are hard to keep, but I would say they need most care among LPS). Some LPS are more sensitive to high flow than others, but they all tend do do well in various levels of water/light.
Derekreefer
I recommend a Trumpet Coral / Candy Coral or a Torch
fishypets
If your water is correct you'll be able to keep any LPS. Edited September 20, 2010 by fishypets
Derek
Bubble coral is good. Frog spawn is also a good choice. I started with frog spawn and still have the same colony after 4 years.
lorenzj4
If your water is correct you'll be able to keep any LPS. My Nitrates peek at about 10 before a water change, I cant get them to Zero.
Rgwiz11
My Nitrates peek at about 10 before a water change, I cant get them to Zero. I had a tough time getting the nitrates to 0 as well until I through some cheato in the sump. That stuff has been growing like crazy and haven't seen nitrates since.
