Chad and Belinda
Never seen one before. That is one awesome looking sand sifter. I want one too!
JamesL
Nice looking! Though most sand stars don't make it in tanks as they eventually starve They tend to eat everything out of the sand bed pretty quickly.
+cyrus
really? I had one in my 29g for 2 years then it graduated to my 240g. So I've had it for 3yrs and he's still happy
chrisfowler99
mine didn't make it because something ate it's legs...no clue who the culprit is.

So I've had it for 3yrs and he's still happy Wow.. that is great to hear! The one I had didn't make it too long (but might be due to below). But I have heard of them starving before. Maybe they just need a mature tank. mine didn't make it because something ate it's legs...no clue who the culprit is. Same here. I think it was the hermit crabs. +cyrus
I have blue leg and scarletts in mine, and an emerald crab somewhere. Has anyone ever caught one getting eaten?
chrisfowler99
I'm pretty sure mine was eaten before I had hermits...
mFrame
Wow, very pretty! I've had my sand sifter for about 4 months now with a ton of red and blue-legged hermits and emerald crabs and have had no problems with any of them.
