Flexible Plumbing

So I need to redo my plumbing to fit my new refugium. I wanted to use 1.5" spa flex, but the guy at HD said I needed to use a special glue that they don't carry it, typical,. Anyways....What kind of flexible tubing is best for low pressure plumbing, and where do I get it? It needs to fit standard PVC fittings or be able to be retrofitted to fit them. Any ideas?

Hey medi,

I just plumbed my new JBJ chiller with spa flex. Used regular PVC solvent like I have done several/many other times in the past. Use lots of it and be sure to rotate the pipe into the socket to ensure good coverage and let sit two hours prior to pressurizing the system. You'll be A-okay!

It just needs a little more time to dry before being moved in my experience, when gluing them together hold the parts tight for at least 15 seconds and place them in a way that there is no pressure on the connection, even just a wiggle 5 minutes later can cause a leak.

I completely rebuilt my closed loop last fall using spa-flex and unions. I glued it all up with the blue wet/dry PVC glue, and it worked great. I now swear by the stuff - the flexibility was a life-saver for me.
