Viet'spride70 Posted May 16, 2010 Share Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) hi all, just finish a led bar mount in my DIY hood light. every thing work out good but still need 1 more to blue up my 2-250w w/ ushio 14k which i 've known, just wanna try it out fisrt. 2 strips each has 6 CREE XR-E leds, power by 24v @ 700mA...total cost is $165 from ledsuply.com. the next one i'll use 1000mA drivers and some optics to penetrate more light. will post more pics on next one....any advice or question r welcom... how do i add pics? any one? Are you doing the LED bar as an actinic replacement or are you hoping to replace your 14K MH's eventually? i 'll try to post some pics asap...guys right now ,i used 'em for MH's supplements and one stay on 24/7 as moonlight.. thinking about replace MH w/ it but donot know it that would do any good for reef habitat....
