migs
I am currently setting up a new tank and it is my first time with a sump. It is a three chamber sump (drain/skimmer, fuge, return pump). In what chamber would you put your heater or does it even matter?
Christian
Fuge because it has the most water At any point.
DaJMasta
I've got mine in my return chamber just because I like the extra fuge space (it's a 5.5G tank made into a sump ) and because it reduces temperature fluctuations, with the fuge only getting flow from the top some of the water would stagnate somewhat and there would be a warm spot around the heater otherwise. I don't think there's any wrong place to put it though so long as it's properly submerged.
