Derry
Title says it all - where do you run your calcium reactor, in the sump or externally? Please list the pros and cons of your choice. Also, what do you use to supply water to the reactor? If it's in the sump, do you just let it draw on its own? Thanks! fishypets
It would be best in the sump in case it started leaking. Other than that there are no benefits.
Gonzobob
If I had room I'd run it in sump, as is I have it in a rubbermade vat next to the system. The only advantage I can see to running out of sump is that if you did have a leak it would be more obvious. Feed with a aqualifter
+dapettit
I have mine in the entertainment center (no room with the sump). I also run the effluent line to my return pump. Others run it up to the tank.
muddybluewater
I have mine out of the sump. I have only had it running for a few weeks so don't have any pros or cons yet. I feed mine with an aqualifter. I wanted to use a maxijet 1200 but the feed line was 1/4"
cmanning
Others run it up to the tank. You mean like we do it. Ours drips into the main tank.....and our set up is external.
