Derekreefer
thanks....the scrapper is working slowly, i just have to get my arm in there and push hard against the wall. Might just go get a metal one.............or switch to a glass tank.
+dapettit
Be very careful with metal scrapers and razor blades. Arcylic stratches very easily!
caferacermike
I hate to say this now, but the best way to get coraline off an acrylic tank is to wipe it down every week to prevent build up. Acrylic tanks are super nice and also quite expensive. On the other hand they are easy to scratch.

STRONGLY suggest you keep any kind of metal scrapper away from acrylic. To the see the affescts of metal against acrylic just click on the link to my blog. Use the scrappers and pads designed for acrylic. Takes a little more elbow grease and time but it can be done.
Derekreefer
Thanks for the suggestions. I have been getting a little workout and working on small sections at a time with the scrapper for acrylic. Its slow but working - thx, derek
caferacermike
I've used credit cards before to remove stubborn algae. Should have suggested that earlier. I just use the 3" edge and it seems to do a great job. I'd be careful of scratching the tank with the coraline though as it might get caught between the card and the acrylic.
