Sorry, I don't have any. All I've got still laying around is 250 watt DE. But I've got the fixture and ballast to go with a DE if you're interested.
I am interested. I did find a few of the DE bulbs. Let me know how much you'd like and when we can meet up. Thank you timfish.

I've checked all the LFS that I know of. None carry them any more. I just ordered one that I found on-line and now I think I am going to get another email saying that they no longer have those either. They were removed from the website after I placed an order. I hope they have it to ship...

Hey guys... I had recently posted that I was looking for a reflective surface to go to retro metal halides. I thought I had everything but the order that I submitted for my bulbs got voided by the vendor and I was not notified. I found out by calling them and asking about a tracking since it's been two weeks. Long story short, they are out... Well, just wondering if any of you may have some in an attic or garage when y'all went to LEDs. I am looking for 250W 12K for a mogul base. Let me know what you want if you have one..... thanks I have to try and keep this forum active. 😉

Thanks all... I found a reflective stainless steel fixture. I am going to do my best to start posting here again even if it has slowed down. A few of us may actually make the difference.

Hello All, it is sad to see how slow this community has become. I guess the covid pandemic really messed many of us up. Hopefully all is on the up and up for all of us and the survival of the few can guarantee a salvation for the rest of us. All in all I started my tank back up a year ago after a three year dead stop. Back then I used to have a metal halide set up and my corals were booming. This second time around I went with LED's in specific the Tuna 360w's. I thought they would be good since I always see them at LFS stores but never realized that their tanks were shallow. I have roughly a 36x36 cube that is about 36" deep. These light are not strong enough. I still have my metal halide setup but threw away the stainless steel mirror finished reflector I used to have because I thought these Tunas would satisfy my tank. Now I am here wondering if possibly, just maybe one of you may have something I may use for a reflective surface to cast my light down. Any help from one of you surviving members would be awesome. I am located in Round Rock. Send me a PM and let me know what you have and what you'd like. Also, if any of you know a place I may be anle to purchase something like thos at a fair price, just let me know.

Just an FYI to all saltwater reefs enthusiast. Rock Flower Anemone do eat fish!!! This is my 3in Powder Blue Tang that I got a few months ago after upgrading. I had this anemone in my Pico Tank but then move it when I upgraded. This fish was awesome. It was healthy and eating very well. Today I even saw it before going out. My wife called saying "Your anemone is eating your tang!!!" I rush home and see this... The fish was beautiful and it appeared that the anemone drained all of its color and would almost completely swallow and then regurgitate. The craziest thing. My wife has about three hours of video clips. She couldn't take her eyes off it.

If you part, I am interested in the hippo tang and the flamed fish. I am not sure what other fish you may have but I'd like to see what other livestock you have.

I've got 150lbs or so that's been curing in a plastic tub on the back deck for a month or so. Been planning to post it, but planned to power wash it first. It's from a 150g marine that ran for about 15yrs. Let me know if you're interested.

Does anyone have any dry rock you may want it to part with? I am in Round Rock.

Ok, I believe I may have made a mistake. I was up at RCA yesterday and saw the perfect sized powder blue tang for my aquarium. However, I did not ask a lot of questions like I normally do other than "is it reef safe?" I should have asked questions about diet since I would love to keep it long term. This morning after feeding my fish a mix of mysis and pellets, I observed it not eating but just picking at algae that is in the tank. After doing a little digging around on-line I realized that their diet consists of mainly of algae. So now I turn to you REEFERS that have had one of these long term since I don't really have too much algae in my tank or a refugium. I have never had a refugium therefore not even a clue on how to set one up. What do you guys recommend? Anyone's two cents would be greatly appreciated. Powder Blue Tang lives matter too. Please assist me in trying to keep this little guy alive.

So, he's aggressive to your clowns... How big is your tank? I may be interested but I am afraid he may be aggressive with my little clowns. I think I'll pass..

Blake I'll take the rock. If you still have it

So I finally put some fish in my 10G after two months setup. Thanks to Blake Goodin for my clowns 🙂. I am really enjoying all my color. Now I gotta get rid of many of the frags on my sandbed. I'd like to see some sand instead of plugseverywhere.

I am looking for a PSK-2500 pump for my bubble magus skimmer. I just got home with a lot of live sand and a fish when I noticed my skimmer was not skimming. after further inspection and disassembly I realized my pump stopped working. Does anyone have one of these pumps for sale. I believe it was discontinued. I am about to start calling all the LFS stores around here. I was hoping to find a direct replacement. By the way my skimmer is a bubble magus bm-200p

DIpping should at least slow down brown jelly but what are the water parameters? There's a wide range of what's considered "Acceptable". All corals need phosphates and can store phospholipids. Keeping phosphates too low and not feeding fish much might result in a malnurished coral. Excess nitrates can also cause problems, allowing zooxanthellae grow unchecked retaining photosynthates normally released to the corals as food as well as compete for available phosphates. (You may have read about the "Redfield Ratio") In my expericences brown jelly usually, not always, a secondary issue and something is stressing the coral. Other variables to look at besides nitrates and phospahtes are changes in lighting from it's previous tank, carbon dosing can cause problems, history of other corals dying in this tank, big changes or unstable alkalinity and/or calcium and/or magnesium, and a long term downward trend (not weekly or daily changes) in pH. If you dig into the aging question the picture gets far more complicated as there are three "ages" we're talking about, genotype, colony and polyp, ant at the polyp level just a few months can have significant physiological differences (tabling and plating corals are examples where all the growth is at the edge).
Like KimP mentioned, I occasionally have a polyp or two die for no apparent reason and it doesn't progress beyond that. Unfortunately we are still a long way from being able to identify or treat many corals diseases. Research presented at C4 2016 showed at siginificant differences in the immune responses at the genotype level to bacterial infections. Additionally in ROhwer's "Coral Reefs in the Microbial Seas". he relates having post doc students at a symposium on coral disease ask researchers to identify pictures of diseases and they were rarely able to do so correctly. Unfortunately we are still pretty much in the dark ages when it comes to identifying and treating coral diseases.
Alright Mr. Timfish 🙂 Thanks for the detailed post.

It could be lighting, it could be some issue they had before you got them. If possible try to find out what conditionas they were grown under.
Thank you

Hello All,
I recently purchased a few corals online and am pretty pleased. However I have noticed that a couple of the zoa frags that I purchased have begun to shrink. I took my water to get tested up to Aquatek and all levels are good. Could it be my lighting? I have a 10G pico with a Kessil A360W?

Anyone selling a single head torch. I only have a 10G pico so I really am not looking for anything bigger than one or two head max.

Hey guys, I have this 10G Rimless with a small powerhead and a HOB skimmer. My wife had this set up as a small pico tank but recently broke it down to put it in my larger aquarium. I used to save all kinds of stuff but as I get older, I rather have the space in my garage. I would like to trade for a nice coral friendly fish or a couple of frags. Let me know what you have, thanks...
