  1. It’s a beautiful fish...I may try one, I don’t mind the special feeding requirements, just don’t want my corals to suffer. Thanks for the info!

Also, if you still want a cardinal, they’re ready.

I’m always looking to add more cardinals!
  2. Nip at corals at all?? Google search says it’s difficult to keep??? What say you?

Yeah a little bit from time to time, but nothing insane the visually hurts the corals. I think finding one that eats prepares foods is the hard part. I don’t even try pellets, I just stick to mysis and fish eggs.

So you put your new prized fish directly into your display w/ no quarantine???  Or did that happen before the announcement?

It went through a quarantine. Not a crazy 2-3 week quarantine, just a few days of treatment and observation. A fish of this value I didn't want to put too much stress on it in a small QT tank. It was eating fine, no signs of disease other than a scratch on its side, and it made it through a prophylactic treatment.

Love the blue/green anemones right next to each other!

Thanks! I've been looking for a purple gig to join them and complete the gig rainbow. So far they have been impossible to find for me.
