I just got out of the hobby and I am selling off all equipment. I have one of these and it still works great. $12.
-
$250. Super quiet pump in good condition.
-
Asking $300. Had been running this on my 240 FOWLR that I sold. Works well and all cleaned up.
-
I have a SuperDart Gold currently available.
-
PM sent to Truck0000. I will try to get some pics of the kalk reactor tonight.

I am back from Costa Rica and think that I have returned all PMs. Going to be breaking down tank this weekend when it is picked up, so all items will be ready for pickup then (if they are not already). Feel free to make some offers on any remaining items.

Very interested in the ro/di package if it is still available in a couple weeks
Someone has already spoken for it, but if that falls through you are next in line.

In connection with breaking down and parting out my 240 I have probably in the neighborhood of 200# of live rock. This is well established rock that has been in the system for a number of years, some with mushroom corals attached. Asking $2.50/lb. Will give a 10% discount if someone takes it all.

I have decided to part out my FOWLR tank and leave the hobby for a little while. All the livestock is already spoken for, and the tank/stand/canopy sold before I could even get this post up, but the rest of the equipment still needs homes. I am expecting the livestock to be picked up this week so equipment should be available by the week starting May 20. I will have all items clean, with any manuals, extra parts, extra media upon pickup. Please feel free to send any questions you may have via PM.
Tank- 240G (8'X2'X2') with two internal overflows. Some minor scratches.
Sump- ~Approx 75 gallon custom sump with baffles, wet/dry compartments. Is cracked on one corner well above water line
Matching stained wood stand and canopy. They definitely could use some refinishing and are nothing special. However, they are still servicable.
Lighting- 12X 54W T5 built into canopy on two separate power supplies. Adjustable LED moon lights. Canopy also has exhaust fans at each side that are effective at keeping temperature stable except on the hottest days.

I have a Current USA 1/3 Prime Tower. Great condition. Used on my 240 FOWLR.

I have mine in a standard 240 (8'x2'x2'). If the tank is smaller I would definitely go with only the female. I have spoken with others who keep them and they do not need a mate. They do not breed in tank like clowns.
-
Hope everything works out all right. It is great to see pictures of the tank and know that it moved on to someone who is enjoying it and doing as wonderful a job as you are.

I have had a pair of Crosshatch triggers for four years now. I keep mine in a pair and they seem to like that, and although they do not interact in the same way as a pair of clowns (i.e. they each have their own sleeping spots, roam the tank separately mostly) they definitely have each others back with regards to other fish.
As far as eating things they are not supposed to: They are in a FOWLR with only a few corals so they have limited rules. They are not aggressive with other fish, even those considerably smaller so that is good. They do not bother corals. They are not good with other inverts (i.e. snails, starfish), and treat them as tasty snacks if they are not careful.
-
I do not think it is necessary for them to be in a pair. I have seen them both in pairs and individually. It is important to realize that the Crosshatch trigger is very different than a Niger Trigger and other triggers not of the Xanthichthys genus. Triggers in the Xanthichthys genus are primarily planktivores in nature and thus are far less aggressive than many triggers. As a result they are even moderately reef safe. My crosshatches have played nice with all fish in the tank (including clowns, tangs, and formerly a wrasse). In fact, it wasn't until my 12" Goldbar Wrasse passed away earlier this year (five years old) that the male Crosshatch moved to the role of Alpha fish. The wrasse clearly held that role and would sometimes bother the triggers (though usually not for long). Depending on its size, I actually would be more worried about the Niger bothering the Crosshatch.
-
If this goes the way of a part out the triggers will not lack for a new home. Long before I even considered selling the tank I received several serious standing offers for the triggers along the lines of, "If you ever decide to sell . . ." They are truly awesome fish, both in looks and personality.
Best of luck with your move.

I have decided to leave the hobby for a while. Between three kids and work there just isn't the time right now. I have lots of offers for individual items already, but want to sell as an entire setup first so please no offers to part out at this time. If I make that decision I will post the livestock and equipment not already spoken for in the appropriate forums.

The skimmer is adjusted by moving the overflow pipe. It will slide up and down. The higher that pipe is the higher the water level and vice versa. Never had to restrict the air on a Euro-reef.
-
Weird to see pictures of it at its new home, but looking forward to following its new life on this thread. Looks good so far, and agree with the others that it seems like a perfect location.

I have a Euroreef 6-2+ that I was using on my 144g reef (about 150 total water volume with sump - rock) and it worked great. Also a great price. Will shoot you a PM.
